Middleborough Summer Concert Series 2010
The Middleborough Friends are proud to bring music to the Town Hall Green for the 2010 Summer Season.
The first concert of the season will be on Thursday, July 8, 2010 with a performance by Over Time. All concerts begin at 6:30 PM and will run through dusk. The Middleborough Summer Concert Series will run for nine weeks (through September 2).
The concert series is free for everyone and is very family oriented, with bubbles and hula hoops. So bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a great summer of music and fun.
The Middleborough Friends will be selling sell soda, water and popcorn along with some candy at a nominal charge and continuing the donation raffle of goods and gift certificates from local businesses.
This year, the Friends have teamed up with members of the Oak Point Veterans’ Association’s “Support the Troops” program who will have collection boxes at the concerts, collecting items for their “Wish List” boxes to send to our local troops that are stationed overseas. Wish List Items for the Troops:
microwaveable pasta, macaroni and cheese, nuts, beef jerky, trail mix, single servings of cereal, and individual packages of cookie, energy bars, packets of powdered cold drink mixes, DVDs, CDs, batteries of all sizes, disposable cameras, computer flash drives, prepaid phone cards, socks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, playing cards, pens, pencils, writing paper, crossword and activity book, female hygiene products, and foot powder.
